Many visitors come to Turks and Caicos Islands—a collection of small vacation-friendly outposts in the Caribbean—as part of a cruise, setting anchor at the Grand Turk Cruise Center. A destination in its own right, the Grand Turk Cruise Center is both a jumping-off point for exploring the island and somewhere you could easily spend the day.
The Grand Turk Cruise Center is the jumping-off point for shore excursions, including snorkel and stingray meet-and-greet tours, sightseeing excursions, and beach and booze tours. However, the 18-acre (7-hectare) cruise center itself is a popular place to spend the day. Enjoy landscaped grounds containing a beach, huge swimming pool, duty-free shops, good restaurants, beachside massages, and even an exhibit focused on the island’s involvement in NASA’s Mercury program.
